Flashback: 2010

Untitled

by dottidee featuring falke tights

I was going to write a post. But this seems to be a pretty lofty goal for the brain fog I'm currently experiencing after writing my obstetrics care plan. So here is a Polyvore outfit I put together a couple years ago when I was reinventing my sense of style. It's funny really, when I pulled this up today the first thing I thought was "Dang 19 year old Sarah, you had some lofty style goals" and now I'm glad to say I rock tights in the winter all the time (although I'm far from owning the "Alexa" Mulberry bag). Nonetheless, Mission accomplished.

I hope your week started off with a bang.
xoxo Sarah

  1. Thanks for linking to that post from 2010...it was really sweet and inspiring! As someone who was raised by an overly-confident father and a less confident mother, I have always been this funny mix of both. It often leads to me feeling fearless in piecing together an outfit I think is awesome, then needing compliments (even fished-for ones) to help me maintain that confidence throughout the day. I realize that this is totally pointless and silly, and have been slowly trying to teach myself to overcome it for awhile now, but this quote is giving me an awesome extra boost!...

"..the moment you become confident nothing else matters. Looks don't bother you (real or fictional), all comments are compliments, and pretty soon people see you as fashionable because you believe you are."

You are awesome, and congrats on your transformation!! <3

  2. I remember being 19 and dressing terribly, so your younger self certainly had a flair for it! I love browns, especially that particular color, and overall the entire outfit looks great!
