Dearest Blog

Oh how I miss you. School is rough, but if it wasn't hard that would mean I wasn't getting anything from it. Next week I start my first shift at the hospital with clinical's and I am scared out of my mind. The insane amount of responsibility is starting to get to me and I hope I will get comfortable soon. Speaking of being comfortable, it's cold. Not New York cold at the moment, but enough for me to complain. I feel like the colder it gets the less I'm concerned with "fashion" and my hibernation/survival mode kicks in. If I happen to wear anything other than jeans + baggy sweater + scarf, I'll let you know with some pictures. ;)

I long for:
An apartment for me and Jordan. Mostly it is a desire to live together because we just celebrated our 4 year anniversary.

I regret:
Not being more motivated in my efforts to open an etsy shop (I have the inventory now it's just time to take the pictures!). I also regret not feeding my artistic side more, whether it be self expression with the way I dress or with doing something more artistic daily.

I eat anything:
Salty, buttery or cheesy. Shame on me.

I'm crazy stressed about: 

Starting clinicals. I understand the great responsibility I have for my patient and I hope I can make myself and my professors proud

I dream about: 

A apartment for me and Jordan decorated in a way that suits us, completing my RN, completing my CNM, working my first delivery, the day I marry that man <3

What makes me nostalgic: 

The perfect yellow 50s dress I just bought, it makes me nostalgic not for the social turmoil but the beauty of the era's fashion and the detail that was put into self expression.

Vintage Hippie

I've been a little bit behind with... well everything so this is actually an outfit I wore this time last week.

I love this little dress I picked up at goodwill for $3. Although you can't really see it in the photos it's sheer and has the cutest peter pan collar.

The day I wore this one of my residents told me I have a "vintage hippie" style. Some people just know the right things to say ;)
