Favorite Posts of the Week

This week one of my favorite style blogs The Coveteur brought us into both of the closet of CURRENT/ELLIOTT.

The photo by The Sartoliast is spectacular but the writing done by Capture the Castle makes it even better... Also this photo just rekindled my love for the breton top.

The Sartorialist also posted this photo and added his always lovely commentary on how sometimes the simplicity of an outfit makes it the best.

Another post I loved was this one by NO MORE DIRTY LOOKS about Remembering their first A-HA! moment in terms of organic/natural skincare. If you look (not to hard only 4 comments down) you can read about my A-HA! moment.

Did you have a favorite blog post this week? Feel free to share a link!

Favorite Posts of the Week

I love the blog FIELDGUIDED. The muted calm colors and amazing photography makes for an amazing read.

This illustration by Caitlin Shearer is by far my favorite of hers (which is saying a lot considering she is my favorite artist. period.) The long wild red hair reminds me of my own...

The adorable Elsie over at A Beautiful Mess got married this week! Isn't her luggage the best?

Want to see it more favorite posts? Let me know =)

May 1963

I've been thinking of investing in a summer hat. Something big with a floppy brim. Any suggestions?

Bella's Flaw

There goes the gal in the pretty skirt
With the golden smile that made you feel new
Like when the marching band strolls the street
You know another year's come too soon

So you took her hand and she gave a look
That sent you to the moon
And there you spoke the words of a gentleman
Can I have this dance with you?
Can I share this dance with you?

There goes the gal
Yeah, the pretty bird, on the golden mile
That made you feel real

She took with on to the stars
She don't make no big deal

And there she sits with them big old fields
Of daisies and rusty mills
And when the sun, it shines on her hair of gold
She's beautiful, she's beautiful

Won't you come on home?
I built us a flying machine

And we'll go where you want
We'll sail the seven seas

I hope all is well in Daisy's dreams
In Daisy's dreams

Etsy Shop

School is over! Summer's here =) I'm just about to leave my last shift as a desk worker in my dorm and go home for the summer and I feel as if I am posed on the edge of the unknown. With the small hometown pharmacy I worked at for the last three years being bought out by a mega corp. (guess who?) I am jobless and will probably remain so until school starts up and I begin my semester of nursing classes in a new dorm with new people. Although usually I would view this as a time to mourn it appears mentally I've taken a different approach and have coping well and thinking of it more as a time for new beginnings.

(First Roommate pic of the year <3 Wasn't even looking at the camera lol)

One thing I decided I wanted to try this summer is to open an Etsy shop. It's a work in progress idea and will most likely take a couple weeks to figure out but I hope to have some things posted soon.
Another thing I am excited about is HUGE amount of time I will have to work on my very neglected blog. I am really excited to see what this summer holds and I am so glad I have you to share it with.

Update: After writing this post I was inspired to open my Etsy shop. There are no items up now but feel free to stop by and "heart" me for when I do list some items. Check it out here.
