Field Below

I wish I'd see a field below

i wish I'd hear a rooster crow

But there are none who live downtown

And so the day starts out so slow

Again the sun was never called
And darkness spreads over the snow
Like ancient bruises

I'm awake and feel the ache
But I wish I'd see a field below
I wish I'd see a field below

I wish I'd see your face below
I wish I'd hear you whispering low
But you don't live downtown no more
And everything must come and go

Again the sun was never called
And darkness spreads over the snow
Like ancient bruises

I'm awake and feel the ache
I'm awake and feel the ache

But I wish I'd see a field below
But I wish I'd see a field below

I'm awake and feel the ache
But I wish I'd see a field below

I'm awake and feel the ache

But I wish I'd see a field below

I wish I'd see a field below

I wish I'd see a field below

Things that made me smile today - Fringe & Adele

Today was a good day. I had the usual array of science classes. Good music. And now I get to hang out with Jordan for the rest of the night. I feel so blessed on days like these to be surrounded by such beautiful & wonderful people... Here are some pictures of my day =)

I love waking up and seeing my deep orange pea coat & the Pirate Radio Poster my roomie gave me. (LOVE THAT MOVIE!)
Isn't this sock monkey adorable!! My friend Chelsea gave him to me for Valentines day <3
This is a house just off campus I see everyday that me and Jordan absolutely love. When we are looking for a house in the future this is the picture I'm showing to the real estate agent.
Speaking of Jordan. He looked snazzy so here he is <3 (I love the photo booth strips he has on his walls)
This is what I wore today. Although I did have to keep taking the vest on and off because fringe isn't very practical in a laboratory. I just got the necklace I'm wearing in the mail yesterday. Its a 60s horn & gold necklace and I love it!

I also listened to the new Adele album for the first time today and I'm absolutely in love with it!
How was your day?

Maybe a coffee IV?....or not

Its official, I have hit the mid semester slump. No amount of coffee or sleep can break me out of this lethargy that I've randomly developed so I'm looking to you for advice.
Maybe It's the never ceasing snow, the every morning 8am classes coupled with staying up until 1am studying/(pretending to study), or maybe its the fact that I have yet to hear back from the Nursing department on whether or not I can take the HESI exams. Whatever it is I want to get my motivation back! Any tips?
(I don't want to be forced to resort to this!!!)

On a brighter note I just found out I got the CA/RA position here at school for next year! It will be nice to get that kind of experience =)

Little Doe 2009

Baby, behave, we'll make it work
Are you with me?

You're not golden
And I'm getting tired
Act like you own the place
When really you've only just arrived

I caught first glimmers
In hides and skins
Look who's all grown up
Black swanning about the solar winds

You're gonna lose it all
And find yourself on your knees
So, get a grip and you might
Flow, reverse the great, slow bleed

I've tried patience, but
You always want a war
This house won't tolerate any more
Stop this right away

Put that down and clean this mess up
End of conversation
Put your back in it and
Make it up to me now

The cold shoulder
Folded arms and looking up
You've never listened
And carry on careless, regardless

This is not a fire drill and
If we hold any hope
It's harmonic connection
And stereos in biosis

These legoland empires
Choking out mine now
You're everywhere, everywhere
Multiplying around me, child

A strain on my heart
This rock can't tolerate any more
Stop this right away

Put that down and clean this mess up
End of conversation
Put your back in it and
Make it up to me now

Baby, behave, we'll make it work
Baby, do you love me?

You're only what you give back
Back
Stop this right away

Baby, behave, we'll make it work
Put that down and clean this mess up
End of conversation
Put your back in it and
Make it up to me now

Stop this right away
Put that down and clean this mess up
End of conversation
Put your back in it and
Make it up to me now

Are you with me?
You're only what you give back, back

You're not golden
And I'm getting tired
Act like you own the place
When really you've only just arrived...

YSL Touche Eclat Review

I have never spend so much on a makeup item before, but I have to say, It was beyond worth it. Because I have 20 hours of class a week (including labs) that often require me to get less than 7 hours of sleep a night, I needed something that would make me look less like a zombie pre-nursing student and more like a functioning human being.
Enter the YSL Touche Eclat. The first time I tried it my sister was in the room with me and the only thing she could say was "wow." I looked like a completely different person. And by completely different I mean I looked like I had actually slept the night before! Now it has completely replaced my concealer. For my skin now I just use Aveeno lotion and swipe the touche eclat under my eyes & it works wonders. If you're on the fence about paying so much for a concealer and you suffer from dark circles I really really recommend it!

~Sarah

p.s. I bought the lightest shade (1) and even though my skin is as white as a sheet it matches perfectly.
