The man of my dreams...

  • Knows that I hate donuts
  • Rubs my feet after a long day at work
  • Accepts my shoe addiction with silence
  • Always tells me when my outfit is too much
  • Smiles as I celebrate one more follower
  • Watches Grey's Anatomy with me day after day
  • Stays up all night with me watching the rain and talking about our childhoods
  • Treats me like a lady but isn't afraid to tease me mercilessly about my hyena laugh
  • Still likes me after a night of binge ice cream eating
  • Attempts to understand my obsession with clothing
  • Loves me
  • And above all, Never lets me forget it.

Happy anniversary Jordan
The last three years have made my heart soar...

Chloe Fall 2010 Lookbook

chloe-fall-2010-lookbook-300710-5
Just a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down
Sweet Mary Jane wont you lay me down...

chloe-fall-2010-lookbook-300710-6
lost my heat in california
lost my mind...

chloe-fall-2010-lookbook-300710-7
shot me down with a revlolver
got me high...

chloe-fall-2010-lookbook-300710-9
then a heart of gold came on the stereo
Mr. Young made me cry...

chloe-fall-2010-lookbook-300710-10
then all the colours of the rainbow
fell in my eyes...
chloe-fall-2010-lookbook-300710-15
I lost my mind long ago
down at yellow brick road...

Ralph Lauren Fall 2010

I never usually have favorite collections but every time I look at the 2010 Ralph Lauren collection I just know this is as good as it gets.
Ralph Lauren Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Ralph Lauren captured the essence of fall perfectly with unexpected combinations.
Ralph Lauren Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Who knew that mixing dark floral prints on airy georgette with heavy velvets and wool tights would create the  perfect fall look? It was dubbed bohemian gypsy and I think that explains is perfectly.
Ralph Lauren Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Not only are the fabrics and patterns perfect but Lauren also incorporates my favorite fall trend seamlessly into the collection, maxi skirts.

And maxi dresses.

Another trend used heavily (but not close to being overdone) was velvet.

The looks were extremely wearable. I love that most of the outfits put together would fit seamlessly into street style and it is completely unlike most runway styling that only looks good on models.
Ralph Lauren Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
And who wouldn't want to explore their city swathed in light georgette and heavy velvets? A perfect vision of fall fashion?

Bucket List

Ive written posts about Florence & the Machine before but in case you missed the memo, she's my favorite artist. Vocally she is unique, lyrically she is thought provoking and when you watch her perform, she is simply mesmerizing.
I'm writing this post as the start of my bucket list. I know I'm only 19 but I think its important to know what you really want to do, and I want to see her live so I too can be mesmerized.

What's one thing you want to do? One person you want to see? Someone you want to meet?

Interview? Moi?

The lovely L over at the silly little things tagged me in an interview post and I am so excited! I believe this is my first interview post! ok here it goes...

1.) why did you start blogging?
I started blogging my first year of college when I realized I didn't have a lot of time for my other hobbies (drawing, painting ect.) It's been a great creative outlet and I really love it!

2.) do you prefer spring/summer or autumn/winter?
I truly love spring/summer because I love to see the world come back to life, but fashion wise you cant beat autumn/winter because I love to layer!

3.) what do you notice first: smokey eye make-up or bright lips?
A bright lip, anyone can pull off a smokey eye. Only a true personality can handle a bright lip ;)

4.) who are your style icons?
Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel (cliche, yes... true, yes) Because they both show that you don't need to be over the top to be stylish. My other style icons are Mary Kate & Ashley Olson because they bring comfy chic to a whole other level (and who doesnt want to dress like a fashionable hobo/granny).

5.) describe your personality in three words?
Bubbly, Silly, & Caring

6.) if you had to leave the house with only one item of make-up what would it be?
My mascara, It makes me forget that I have blonde eyelashes (a horrible affliction) ;)

7.) Which era do you think influenced fashion the most?
The 20s. Woman were liberated from their corsets and gained their own independence in the fashion world. I can't even imagine how fantastic it would have been to experience that kind of revolution in fashion.

8.) what beauty product do you always repurchase?
Great Lash mascara (the pink tube) cheap and fantastic!!

I've chosen to tag:

Have a great Monday!!

We own the night

I realized the other day I never showed you my new hair color! I dyed it three weeks ago right before classes started because theres nothing better than dying your hair right before the start of the new school year. Its the perfect fresh start.

There was nothing remarkable about my outfit last night, I am the Queen of the Comfy Kingdom and I was just dressing the part...
Tonight we had the last bonfire of the summer... Theres something so breathtakingly beautiful about bonfires. I love the warmth they create and how when you sit next to a fire under an open sky you can feel like the only people on earth......

There's a drumming noise inside my head
That starts when you're around
I swear that you could hear it
It makes such an all mighty sound
There's a drumming noise inside my head
That throws me to the ground
I swear that you should hear it
It makes such an all mighty sound
Louder than sirens
Louder than bells
Sweeter than heaven
And hotter than hell
(Lyrics: Drumming Song, Florence & the Machine)
What are you doing for the last days of summer?

Nia by Nicholas Lawn in Sweet & Lowdown / TEST

They made a statue of us
And it put it on a mountain top
Now tourists come and stare at us
Blow bubbles with their gum
Take photographs have fun, have fun
They'll name a city after us
And later say it's all our fault
Then they'll give us a talking to
Because they've got years of experience
We're living in a den of thieves
Rummaging for answers in the pages
We're living in a den of thieves

And it's contagious
We wear our scarves just like a noose
But not 'cause we want eternal sleep
And though our parts are slightly used
New ones are slave labor you can keep
We're living in a den of thieves
Rummaging for answers in the pages
We're living in a den of thieves

And it's contagious
They made a statue of us
They made a statue of us
The tourists come and stare at us
The sculptor's marble sends regards
They made a statue of us
They made a statue of us
Our noses have begun to rust
We're living in a den of thieves
Rummaging for answers in the pages
Were living in a den of thieves

And it's contagious
And it's contagious
And it's contagious
