Young Love

I did a lot of packing for school today and before I packed this away I snapped a pic to show you guys!
We found this print in Jordan's basement and I knew immediately I had to have it, and he must have known it too because the next day he gave it to me <3 (also check out my small record case, score!)
It really reminds me of the days when we were young and innocent...

p.s. If you saw on your blog reader I posted about hate comments- I decided to take it down because it wasn't worth it, I have great readers and the occasional rude remark will just have to be taken with a grain of salt

My Winter Wishlist

I seem to have winter clothing on the brain, maybe its because I need to move back to school in 2 weeks so Ive been packing my clothes or maybe its because Ive been mending various garments... I realized this morning it was the perfect time to make my winter wishlist (which is my version of back to school shopping). I like to make a list of what I want to buy over the course of each season, making a list usually helps me from buying things that I either don't need or will later regret. This is what I hope to find for this winter (maybe not these exact items pictured but hopefully something similar)

50s Black Cotton Day Dress

Ive been looking for the perfect 50s dress for a while now, Its become something I seem to have on each and every list I make and yet I never seem to find it. Maybe I'm too picky but It must be vintage, black, have some type of sleeve, be cotton and be something I can wear any day in any season. I really hope I find it soon.

Black Studded Leather Bag
Commix Crossbody
(Matt & Nat Collection)
My style is generally frilly and not very "edgy" so I want a bag that can add a little of that edge to my wardrobe

Raw Natural Ring
(Billy Bride Jewelry)
Its pretty, enough said

BIG Turquoise Jewelry
1940/50s American Indian Turquoise Ring, Silver : Erie Basin Antiques
(Erie Basin Ring)
I love how natural and down to earth turquoise jewelry is, Ive been looking forever for huge turquoise accessories that look natural not the bright solid hues.

Maxi Skirt
Wool-blend paneled maxi skirt - Rick Owens
(Rick Owens skirt)
I wrote my reasoning here,  and for the record, any wool maxi skirt is fine, it doesn't need to be $800, *gasps*

Ballet Flats
(Topshop Flats)
To me good flats are essential to any wardrobe and since my flats are falling apart. I decided I need some new ones that don't have holes in the toes, by the way aren't these lace up ones adorable?

YSL Ring
Yves Saint Laurent Arty metal ring
(net-a-porter.com)
Hahaha I really cannot justify the price of this, this is the one thing on my wish list that is truly unattainable =( But its so pretty I just had to add it.

Black Velvet Tights
(Monkl)
They are pretty and most of all warm enough for winter!

Whats on your wishlist for the coming season?
XOXO

This might be the most random what I wore post to date... Me and Jordan went to the Mall of America today and I bought a cute new necklace from Forever 21's accessory store.... Now heres the part you were waiting for...
GIANT TEDDY BEAR!!
We aren't sure how the Teddy Bear came to reside in Jordan's house, but we pulled it out of a closet the other day and I couldnt help but do a little happy dance :)
But unfortunately since we are packing up to go back to school we realized that we couldn't keep him =(

But do not fear! One of Jordan's friends fell in love with Teddy and wants to take him home!

Brrr....

Winters coming fast and Ive been increasingly aware that my current winter wardrobe is ridiculously sub-par. Living in Minnesota requires one vital piece of clothing, Jeans. Most necessary here because of there ability to keep your legs from freezing off in the winter. But I recently decided that my winter wardrobe needed more pizazz! Something more interesting, so Ive decided to embrace the maxi skirt, preferably a warm fabric like wool or cotton with warm wool tights underneath. What do you think of Maxi skirts in the winter?

Lonely Hearts

What can I say? Lonely Hearts is spectacular. Simple as that. Undergarments is something most people tend to overlook as a vital part of a wardrobe, but one look at the Lonely Hearts collection could convert anyone who thinks having fashionable underthings aren't a necessity.
From the floral stockings to the lace peek-a-boo bra and paisley geometric cut bra Lonely Hearts has fully captured my attention

I love to ride my bicycle!

I mentioned a few posts ago that me and Jordan were fixing up a 60s beauty and here she is!! It was such a lovely day and I was on my way to Miss Victoria's birthday party so it seemed like such a perfect time to take some photos (thank you Jordan for being my photographer!)
I really love to name inanimate objects so we named her Florence in homage to one of my favorite singers

This was her maiden voyage around the cul-de-sac and although she was a bit squeeky it really was alot of fun to lean against the sissy bar and lounge on the banana seat!
You may think you can see up my petticoat but you cant! I checked ;)
Have a fabulously vintage day ;)
p.s. you can click on the pictures to see them bigger

The natural stones mixed with the raw metal truly evoke a feeling of mysticism.
